Lemon Cream Garlic & Shallot Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 shallot, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the shallot and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer.
Let it cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the lemon zest and juice to the cream mixture and stir to combine.
Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the lemon cream sauce over cooked pasta, chicken or shrimp and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
